What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Following is our policy for collecting and using your personal data. It's not all just up to us, though, so links are provided to the privacy policies of our partners, affiliates and vendors and those policies become relevant when their connection to us is invoked by your activity on our sites.
We like to interact with visitors and make friends, but we are not really interested in your personal data. However, some data is collected automatically and in the course of marketing and sales.
When you consent to allow cookies, one is created to manage and store your user consent to load various third party embeds and tracking scripts, including functionality to enable the shopping cart, to remember your log-in details and provide for a secure log-in, to collect statistics, to optimize site functionality, and to deliver content tailored to your interests.
Our email list
When you opt-in to our newsletter, you are added to our email list. the information you provide is collected and saved according to the policies of MailChimp. You will have the opportunity to opt-out via a link provided in every email we send. The mailing list is used for news, updates, announcements, and marketing purposes.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the blog, WordPress collects by default the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
You are not automatically added to our mailing list, you must opt-in for that. By default, the opt-in checkbox is prechecked. Uncheck it to opt-out immediately. Your information left in comments is not used for marketing purposes.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using that service. After approval of your comment, and if you use Gravatar, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to save your name, email address and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Contact forms
If you use the contact forms on the site, we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Again, you are not automatically added to our mailing list, you must subscribe to the newsletter for that.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site rarely but occasionally include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, opt-in forms, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited that other website.
These other websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that other website.
Who we share your data with
Nobody. Your information is not shared, traded or sold by us, except as disclosed herein. We do not accept advertising or receive data about users from third parties. We do not participate in any scheme to aggregate your data into an advertising profile.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive a file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. For privacy-specific concerns, use the contact form or write us at the physical address listed there.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
If you make a purchase
Your contact and billing information is kept offline in a secure database. You will be added to our email list. You will have the opportunity to opt-out at any time. Your financial data is kept securely by the agency that processed your payment, Stripe or PayPal.

We use a sales platform provided by Art StoreFronts. They manage all the data collected by their platform and handed off to our payment gateways and fulfillment partners.
