These paintings are created with a variety of mediums and techniques, each used for its distinguishing characteristics. I use wide brushes, airbrush, toothbrushes, spotting brushes, pipets, and even my hands as application tools to apply paints of different viscosity in many layers. I use mostly acrylic paints, augmented with artist oils, pencil, oil pastels, spray paints, and metallic inks. I move the canvas from the floor to the studio wall as needed. Sometimes I will come back to a painting and add a touch or significantly rework it as my vision evolves.
It's not certainly finished until it is out the door!
Original paintings are signed in the lower right "COPSON" with inconspicuous block letters and with a signature on the back in pencil along with the title and an inventory number. A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany your purchase. Only professional archival gallery wrapped heavy duty canvas is used and your painting will arrive ready to hang.
